How to Get Involved
- Wear a piece of orange clothing or an orange awareness ribbon.
- Send a letter to your local politician, senator, congressperson and governor asking for a proclamation naming November as CRPS/RSD awareness month.
- Speak to your local newspaper or television station about running a story about CRPS.
- Speak to local restaurants and stores about planning a night where a portion of the proceeds can be donated to an RSD/CRPS non-profit organization.
- Ask local businesses to hang a sign advertising Color the World Orange day.
- Ask your company if you can leave a basket of orange ribbons for employees to wear on in the office. Make sure to leave a fact sheet about CRPS/RSD next to the basket.
- Speak to a local nursery and see if it will donate a small annual, bush or tree – perhaps one with orange flowers – that can be planted in your town. Speak with local officials to see if they could help you with the planting.
- Have an Orange Day at School where all students and teachers are encouraged to wear orange!
- Have a high school football game dedicated to CRPS awareness. Encourage fans to wear something orange.
- Change your social media profiles and background to one of the Color the World Orange logos..
- Reach out to friends and family, those that do and don’t have RSD/CRPS, and encourage them to learn more about CRPS.
